Congratulations, Richard!

You're our EF Superhero League grand prize winner

Richard Towry

Math teacher, Elgin, IL
Superpower: Illusion

His students think he is pretty amazing—and we couldn't agree more.

"Mr. Towry has the amazing ability to make math fun. Honestly, who would ever want to memorize the trig circle? But I found myself always ready to learn because he makes sure we understand the concepts and he makes class fun."

Richard's prize: A $5,000 donation to his school, Elgin High School, and a Professional Learning tour in Berlin this July. Once he's there, he'll get to meet fellow educators, participate in workshops, and explore Germany's vibrant capital.

Every teacher is a superhero

Just the type that accessorizes with graded papers, rather than capes. That’s why no matter the level or subject (or the tour), we’re grateful for all that teachers do.

Help more students explore beyond the classroom.
